For open porous polymers

The  flame retardants are applied for fire protection of open porous polymers such as penopolyurethane, extruded and expanded polystyrene. The fire protection of polystyrene is carried out by brush or roller, by spraying and plasma-aided impregnation method. The flame retarded materials are dried at room temperature about 20oC.

The penopolyurethane is fire protected by dipping, by brush or roller. The  flame retardant for penopolyurethane possesses high capillary activity which allows a continuous method for its treatment when it is on rolls – soaking, draining and drying at high temperature.

The  fire protected polystyrene and penopolyurethane are “Class HF-1” according to BDS ISO 9772:2004.
